Handa ba ang ating mga guro para sa pasukan?


Itinakda ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang Agosto 29, 2023 bilang unang araw ng pasukan para sa AY 2023-2024 sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan. Tinanong ng Komisyon ang ating mga guro kung nakapaghanda ba sila dito. Nakakalap ang EDCOM 2 ng 2,964 votes mula sa 320 na sumagot na guro.

60% ng ating mga gurong sumagot ang nagsabing nararamdaman nilang handa sila para sa pasukan.

Pina-rate rin natin ang kahandaan nila sa iba’t ibang aspeto ng pagtuturo, mula sa ranggong 1 (hindi talaga handa) hanggang 5 (handang-handa). Ang pinakamataas na apseto kung saan ramdam ng mga gurong sumagot ay sa Class program/schedule (3.5) at Coordination with learners and parents (3.4). Samantala, ang enrollment ng mga mag-aaral sa Learner Information System (LIS) ay ang aspeto na ramdam nilang hindi sila handa (2.9).

Karamihan (60%) sa mga gurong sumagot ay nagsabing hindi rin sila nabigyan ng training o pagsasanay sa huling 2 buwan upang bigyan sila ng preparasyon sa AY 2023-2024. 63% rin ang nagsabing hindi sila nabigyan ng sapat na learning resources ng kanilang mga school administrators.

62% ng mga sumagot ang nagsabing hindi pa nakaka-recover sa learning loss ang kanilang mga mag-aaral. Ang “learning loss” ay pumapatungkol sa kahit anong pagkawala ng kaalaman o skills o kaya naman ay pag-reverse ng academic progress.
